April: What are you plans for this summer both in relation to your dancing and personally?
This summer has turned into a summer of adventure. In May I will be visiting New Orleans for the first time. In June I will be traveling to Hawaii for the first time to visit my family that lives there. Then in July I will visit my grandparents in Cape Cod. This summer will be filled with family and travel to say the least. We are celebrating some land mark birthdays, including my own, and my aunts, and reuniting with other family members we have not seen in years. I am very excited for these next months to come. While it all sounds very magical it does mean that I will not have time to take any summer school or take on a job. So it is my personal decision that this is my last summer of pure freedom before I graduate. Next summer I will be hitting the books for summer school. In my experience there always comes a summer, when if one can they should do nothing, but what they want to do. I have not had a summer off since my sophomore year in High School, so I am glad to taking this one off. This is not to say that I won’t take some dance classes here and there. I am so thankful I have so many dance studios only ten minutes away from my house. Sometimes my good hearted sister will take classes with me. We both look like fools in Hip Hop and have been beginner tappers for some years now. I never know what type of dance class we will get each other into! So I am looking forward to this summer. It will be filled with adventure, family, and memories.
