Post: What does your schedule look like for next year, what kind of classes (dance and academic) will you be taking and what are you looking forward to next year

Good Things Are Coming

Next year, is something that is so exciting to think about. Due to the way my program is set up, my schedule pretty much remains the same. I am still only allowed to have an 8 or 9 am academic class, so I am taking “Anatomy and Physiology,” as well as a Humanities class. My dance schedule will remain constant though. I still have morning technique class, as well as variations, pas de deux, contemporary/modern, and any rehearsals that might follow. I am honestly most excited about just continuing to work hard and refining my technique even more. I am also excited for next year’s rep., even though it has not been announced yet. I love accepting the challenge of learning all of the different choreographer’s styles for a particular ballet. I feel that it helps me become a more diverse dancer, especially when you have to go in between styles. When I look at my resume to edit, I find this strange joy being able to add another ballet to the list. If next year is anything like this year, I am going to find great joy in it.
